Expert: Patricia Gestoso, PhD

Dr Patricia Gestoso is an award-winning inclusion strategist and seasoned technologist with over two decades of expertise in digital transformation, specialising in computational modelling of materials and drugs, artificial intelligence, and client services.

Her extensive leadership roles include:

  • Serving as the Director of Scientific Support, Customer Operations, Training, and Services at Dassault Systèmes, a software corporation, where she has successfully spearheaded digital transformation initiatives for Fortune 500 companies, governments, and academic institutions globally.
  • Playing a pivotal role in integration teams for two tech acquisitions and actively participating in Dassault Systèmes Technology and Support committees.

Patricia’s contributions to inclusive tech products and workplaces have earned her multiple accolades, including the prestigious 2020 Women in Tech Changemakers award and recognition in the 2022 and 2023 Longlist of the most influential women in UK tech. She was also nominated for the Gender Equality Champion in the Diversity, Equity & Inclusion in Tech Awards 2023.

Her relevant qualifications include a BSc and MSc in Chemical Engineering, a PhD in computational chemistry, accreditation in the C-Level Program by European Women on Boards, and a Diploma in Corporate Governance. Furthermore, she serves as a reviewer for the “AI and Ethics” journal and as an expert for the EU Marie Skłodowska-Curie fellowships and the Pathfinder program.

Patricia writes and keynotes on diversity and inclusion strategy, women in tech, ethical and inclusive design, and sustainable artificial intelligence.

She is currently writing a book about “How women succeed in tech worldwide” based on the feedback of 400+ women working in tech living in 60 countries.
